FCT Police Solve Mystery of Body Found Under Katampe Bridge
The FCT Police Command announced it has solved the case of a lifeless male body discovered on Kubwa expressway by Katampe under-bridge on August 26, 2026. CP Ahmed Muhammed Sanusi stated that the body was linked to a missing person report filed by the deceased's family.
Investigations revealed that the deceased's mobile phone was missing, leading police to Mrs Rukayat Muhammed of Garki Area 2, who was romantically involved with him. They had stayed together at Good Samaritan Guest House in Gwarimpa.
After discovering the deceased unresponsive, Mrs Muhammed did not report the incident but took his phone and left the hotel. Hotel management later found the body and, instead of notifying authorities, two staff members, Ibrahim Omeiza and Kefat Bitrus, removed the body and dumped it at the roadside to evade responsibility.
