APGA Candidate Accepts APC Victory in AMAC Elections

In the recent Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) elections held on February 21, Mr. Ez Chukwu, the candidate from the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), accepted the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Christoph Maikalangu, who was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Chukwu stated he would not challenge the election results, citing no grievances. He praised the electoral process as peaceful, orderly, and safe, and emphasized the need for continued service to the people.

Chukwu congratulated Maikalangu and urged him to govern with humility and inclusiveness, reflecting the diverse political, ethnic, and religious affiliations of AMAC residents. The APC dominated the elections, winning five out of six chairmanship seats, with Maikalangu receiving 40,295 votes out of 62,861 valid votes cast.

Chukwu's APGA garnered 1,111 votes, placing them among the lower ranks of the contest.
