ADC Candidate Blames Movement Restrictions for Low Turnout

Dr. Mose Paul, the chairmanship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), expressed concerns regarding the low voter turnout observed during the recent elections.

He linked this turnout to movement restrictions and alleged intimidation faced by ADC party agents, particularly in the Takum Shara area of Kabusa Ward, including Dogongada and Shereti. Paul, who has lived in AMAC for nearly 40 years, described the situation as confusing and unnecessary, likening it to a state of emergency.

Despite these challenges, he praised the electoral officials at the polling units for their professionalism and adherence to due process. He condemned the reported threats and intimidation against ADC agents as criminal acts occurring in the capital city.

Nevertheless, Paul remains confident that the people will prevail and resist intimidation, demanding accountability from leadership.
