PDP's Mohan Kasim Wins Gwagwalada Chairmanship Election

In the recent Gwagwalada Area Council chairmanship election held on Saturday, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) emerged victorious. Mohan Kasim was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), with a total of 22,165 votes.

His main competitor, Yahaya Shehu from the All Progressives Congress (APC), received 17,788 votes. The announcement was made by Philip Akpen, the INEC returning officer, who confirmed that Mohan Kasim met all legal requirements to be declared the duly elected chairman.

The election was characterized by a keen contest, reflecting the competitive political landscape in the region.
