Wike Sets Ultimatum for Abuja Contractors Ahead of Tinubu's Anniversary

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, directed contractors to adhere strictly to delivery timelines for major infrastructure projects in Abuja in preparation for President Bola Tinubu's third anniversary. On Wednesday, Wike inspected several ongoing projects, including the Jahi interchange, airport road, Kuje corridor, and Gwagwalada road.

He expressed satisfaction with the progress, noting that some projects are nearing completion and should reach 95% completion within two weeks. Wike emphasized the importance of completing all aspects of the projects, particularly the bridge components of the airport road at Kuje junction, which is being executed by Arab Contractors.

He also highlighted the City Gate project, managed by Julius Berger, which aims to enhance the visual appeal of Abuja's entrance. Wike reaffirmed the commitment of the FCT administration to work closely with contractors to ensure timely project completion, aligning with the government's timeline for the anniversary celebrations.
