FCT Resident Doctors Begin Indefinite Strike Over Unmet Demands

Resident doctors in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have commenced an indefinite strike starting September 15, 2025, due to the government's failure to meet their demands. The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) in FCT announced the strike following unsuccessful negotiations and a warning strike.

The decision was made to address issues such as delayed salary payments and outstanding arrears dating back to 2023. The strike aims to compel the FCT Administration to fulfill the doctors' legitimate demands and improve working conditions for healthcare workers in Abuja.
