Nigerian Resident Doctors Begin Indefinite Strike Over Unmet Demands

The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has officially announced the commencement of an indefinite nationwide strike from November 1, 2025. The decision was made following the expiration of a 30-day ultimatum given to the federal government to address their demands.

The strike, which was declared during an extraordinary meeting of the NARD's National Executive Council, highlights issues such as non-payment of salaries and work-related grievances. NARD President, Mohammad Suleiman, emphasized the necessity of the strike action to ensure the success of their demands.
