Federal High Court Launches E-Filing System in Lagos

On April 27, 2026, the Federal High Court in Lagos officially launched an e-filing system designed to enhance transparency and efficiency in the administration of justice. The launch was officiated by Chief Justice John Tsoho, who noted that this initiative is part of ongoing judicial reforms aimed at modernizing court processes.

The e-filing platform will enable legal practitioners to file cases online, thereby reducing delays and improving access to justice. Chief Registrar Sulaiman Hassan highlighted that the system significantly reduces paperwork and enhances record management.

The introduction of this e-filing system allows lawyers to manage cases remotely without the stress of handling physical files, improving tracking and accountability. The Lagos division is expected to serve as a pilot phase, with plans underway to extend the system to divisions nationwide.
