FMLD Launches Digital M&E Dashboard for Performance Tracking

On August 6, 2023, the Federal Ministry of Livestock Development (FMLD) introduced its newly developed Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Dashboard System, aimed at improving institutional performance management. The presentation was conducted by Ms.

Josephine Okeke from Deolimage Nigeria Ltd, showcasing a digital platform designed for centralized and secure tracking of the Ministry's performance. The dashboard is user-based and role-based, granting access according to official responsibilities, with dedicated login credentials for the Minister, Permanent Secretary, Directors, and other authorized personnel.

It provides an overview of the Ministry’s performance across eight strategic dimensions, including Production and Productivity and Animal Health. Performance reporting will rely on agreed indicators, with periodic uploads from Directors validated by the Department of Planning, Research and Statistics (DPRS).

The dashboard also includes modules for monitoring climate-related indicators and participation of vulnerable groups. Permanent Secretary Dr.

Chinyere Ijeoma Akujobi emphasized the importance of a user-friendly implementation process and the development of a user manual and instructional video.
