Abuja to Host Major International Fertility Conference

From September 24-26, 2026, Abuja, Nigeria, will host the 2nd African Federation of Fertility Societies (AFFS) and the 16th Association for Fertility and Reproductive Health (AFRH) Annual International Conference. Approximately 1,000 fertility and reproductive health professionals from Africa, America, Europe, and Nigeria are expected to attend.

Dr. Ibrahim Wada, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, emphasized the importance of this conference in bridging African expertise with global advancements in reproductive medicine. The theme of the conference is “Fertility Frontiers: Global Innovations and Advances in Human Reproduction.” Key international organizations participating include ESHRE, ASRM, and IFFS.

The conference will feature keynote addresses, plenary sessions, and discussions on assisted reproductive technology, embryology, and ethical patient care. Professor Preiye Fiebai, President of AFRH, stated that the event aims to enhance collaboration and improve fertility care across Africa.

Dr. Sunday Onuh, Co-chairman of the Local Organising Committee, noted Nigeria's progress in medical science.
