Nigeria to Host National Health Equity Conference 2026

The Federal Government of Nigeria is organizing the 2026 National Health Equity Conference, scheduled for October 13 to 15 at the Nigeria National Merit Award House in Maitama, Abuja. This initiative aims to address the persistent gap between health policy formulation and implementation, emphasizing stronger coordination within the healthcare system to enhance outcomes for citizens.

The conference, themed “From Policy to Impact: Care Coordination as the Core Engine of Health Equity,” will be hosted by the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, with Hon. Amos Gwamna Magaji, Chairman of the House Committee on Health Services, and Dr. Tunji Alausa, Minister of Education, attending as Special Guests of Honour. Organized by OneBarrow International Limited, the conference will gather various stakeholders, including policymakers, healthcare regulators, and civil society organizations, to explore practical strategies for improving healthcare access and quality.
