Nigeria to Introduce AI Diploma Program in Partnership with Singapore for TVET Advancement

The Federal Government of Nigeria is deepening its collaboration with Singapore in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) by launching a two-year diploma program in Artificial Intelligence (AI) across Nigerian institutions. The initiative follows a visit by Nigeria's Minister of Education, Dr.

Maruf Tunji Alausa, to Singapore in the previous year. The partnership involves Singapore's Institute of Technical Education and Education Services supporting Nigeria in developing and implementing the AI diploma program.

The move aims to enhance Nigeria's formal TVET system and integrate advanced digital skills into the country's technical education framework. The collaboration also includes discussions on quality assurance, leadership development, and training initiatives to embed advanced technical programs like AI in Nigeria's skill ecosystem.

The Nigerian government's TVET reforms focus on practical skills, industry linkages, and improving the quality and accessibility of technical education nationwide.
