Ex-Minister Stella Oduah Arraigned on Fresh ₦5bn Fraud Charges

The Nigerian government has arraigned former Minister of Aviation and Senator Stella Oduah on new ₦5 billion fraud charges at the Federal Capital Territory High Court. The charges, brought by the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, accuse Oduah of involvement in a multi-billion naira fraud scheme during her tenure.

Oduah is alleged to have engaged in advance fee fraud and conspiracy, misappropriating public funds totaling billions of naira. Despite pleading not guilty, Oduah was granted bail on self-recognition but warned against leaving Nigeria.

This marks the second time Oduah has faced corruption charges, with a previous set of charges withdrawn by the government.
