FG Asks Ibom Air, AON To Immediately Withdraw Complaints, Sanctions Against Comfort Emmanson

The Federal Government has requested Ibom Air and the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) to retract their complaints and sanctions against Comfort Emmanson. This comes after a viral video showed Emmanson angrily confronting a flight attendant and airport security official before takeoff in Uyo.

Ibom Air explained that Emmanson had refused to follow standard safety procedures by not switching off her mobile phone. Upon arrival in Lagos, Emmanson physically assaulted the purser and was eventually removed from the tarmac by airport security.

Following the incident, Ibom Air and AON imposed a fly ban on Emmanson. However, in a statement, the Federal Government's spokesperson, Keyamo, revealed that Emmanson had shown remorse and that the police would facilitate her release from Kirikiri Prisons within a week.
