JUST IN: Airline Operators Impose ‘No-Fly’ Ban on Ibom Air Passenger Comfort Emmanson

Airline Operators Nigeria (AON) have imposed a lifetime 'No-Fly' ban on Comfort Emmanson, preventing her from boarding any member airline for domestic or international routes. This decision comes after an incident on August 10, 2025, aboard an Ibom Air flight where Emmanson allegedly defied crew instructions, assaulted airline staff, and attempted to use a fire extinguisher as a weapon.

AON described her actions as a serious threat to passenger, crew, and aircraft safety. The association praised Ibom Air for their swift and professional response to the disruption and called on the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to enhance security measures for unruly passengers at airports.

Comfort Emmanson has been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Centre pending legal proceedings, as confirmed by Festus Keyamo, the Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Tunde Moshood.
