Federal Government Establishes 10 Diagnostic Centres Nationwide

The Federal Government has completed the establishment of 10 radio-diagnostic centres across Nigeria and is planning to create a multi-specialty hospital in each of the country's six geopolitical zones. Dr Ali Pate, the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, announced this during a visit to Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed.
The centres were developed under the Medical and Diagnostic Services (MEDSERVE) initiative in collaboration with the Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA). The diagnostic centre at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital in Bauchi is among the completed facilities, which represent the largest expansion of health infrastructure in Nigeria's history.
The first inauguration of these centres will take place in Bauchi, followed by another in Ibadan. Additionally, three specialized cancer centres have been completed to improve access to advanced healthcare services.
The government is also collaborating with state governments to enhance healthcare delivery nationwide.
