Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN, during the Young Engineers Innovation Summit 2026 in Abuja, themed “Engineering Solutions for Energy Security and Digital Transformation.” Represented by Engr. Ibiam Oguejiofor, the Minister highlighted the critical role of engineering in national development and the necessity of achieving energy security for industrialization.

He noted that the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu prioritizes innovation and energy sufficiency. The Minister introduced the Energise Commercialisation Now (ECoN) initiative, aimed at bridging gaps between research institutions and the marketplace, thereby transforming scientific discoveries into market-ready products.
