FG Finally Breaks Silence, Gives Order to Ibom Air Over Passengers’ Conduct

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development has issued a directive to Ibom Air following an employee leaking a video of a passenger altercation on board. The Minister, Keyamo, stated that while recording incidents is acceptable for evidence in court, making such clips publicly available, especially with indecent exposure, is unacceptable.

The passenger involved in the altercation has been banned from flying, charged, and is currently in remand at Kirikiri Correctional Facility. Keyamo has ordered Ibom Air to increase employee training in dispute resolution and public relations to better handle similar occurrences.

The Ministry of Aviation will continue to apply relevant penalties and flight prohibitions to unruly travelers, with further actions taken by law enforcement organizations.
