Unruly Passenger Saga: Comfort Emmanson to Be Released from Prison as Keyamo Directs Ibom Air to Withdraw Complaint

Comfort Emmanson, who fought Ibom Air cabin crew on a flight and was later arrested, is set to be released from prison as the federal government has directed Ibom Air to withdraw the criminal complaint against her. Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, stated that after reviewing the incident, the government decided to withdraw the complaint due to the remorse shown by Emmanson.

This decision comes after consultations with key stakeholders in the aviation sector. The case has drawn parallels to the Valujet Flight saga involving renowned musician, Kwam 1.

Keyamo also directed relevant aviation agencies to collaborate and retrain security personnel to handle unruly passengers. The government emphasized that the decision was made on compassionate grounds and to ensure the safety and security of the aviation sector.
