FG Launches $950m Makurdi–9th Mile Dualization Project to Boost Trade

The Federal Government launched the $950 million Makurdi–9th Mile dualization project aimed at boosting trade and connectivity along the Benue-Enugu corridor. Financed by China Exim Bank, the project covers a 520-kilometer dual carriage highway, a significant infrastructure initiative under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.

Minister of Works, Engr Dave Umahi, described the project as a milestone that would unlock economic opportunities and enhance trade and agriculture connectivity in the region. The dualization is expected to revolutionize the economic landscape of Benue, Enugu, and neighboring states.
