FG Launches Ibadan-Ijebu Ode Road Dualisation Project

On August 24, the Federal Government will officially commence the dualisation of the Ibadan-Ijebu Ode Road, a significant initiative organized by the Federal Ministry of Works. The flag-off ceremony is set for 11:00 a.m. at the Open Field of Legacy Estate, located along the Idi Ayunre axis of the road in Oyo State.

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has recently approved the contract for this dualisation project, which has been awarded to JRB Construction Limited. This corridor is crucial as it connects communities in Oyo and Ogun states and facilitates the movement of people, agricultural produce, goods, and services across the South-West region.

The dualisation is expected to alleviate traffic congestion, enhance road safety, and reduce travel time, thereby creating more economic opportunities for the communities along the route. The Minister of Works, Senator David Umahi, will attend the ceremony, which will also see participation from senior government officials, traditional rulers, community leaders, and other stakeholders.
