NECO CBT SSCE Results Expected Early September 2026

The Federal Government expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the NECO Computer-Based Test (CBT) for the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), as stated by the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Suwaiba Ahmad.

During a monitoring exercise at the Anglican Girl Grammar School in Garki 2, Abuja, she highlighted the CBT format as a significant step towards eliminating examination malpractice and improving educational quality. Prof.

Ahmad noted that students preferred the CBT format due to its ease of use and improved examination experience. She confirmed that there were no technical failures during the exams and that the CBT system effectively randomizes questions, making it difficult for candidates to cheat.

NECO Registrar, Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi, announced that the results for the 1,378,048 candidates registered nationwide are expected to be released in the first week of September 2026, facilitated by the efficiency of the CBT system.

The government remains committed to expanding CBT nationwide, ensuring all necessary infrastructure is in place before full implementation.
