FG Transfers 200 Housing Units to Kwara State Government

The Federal Government of Nigeria has officially handed over 200 semi-detached housing units to the Kwara State Government, a significant step in the National Housing Programme. The handover took place following the full settlement of financial obligations related to the estate located in Ogbondoroko, Asa Local Government Area.

The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahm Dangiwa, represented by Director of Public Building Musa Abdullahi, described this handover as a major milestone in the government's efforts to expand access to affordable housing. The initiative underscores the federal government's commitment to bridging the housing deficit in Nigeria and fostering strong partnerships with state governments.

State Minister Dr. Shuaib Belgor emphasized that providing affordable housing remains a key priority for the federal government, which aims to address housing shortages and stimulate economic growth. Dr. Nasamu Yakub commended the Kwara State Government for its commitment to fulfilling financial obligations that facilitated the successful transfer of the housing units, which were received on behalf of the governor by Segun Ogunsola.
