Kwara State Receives 132 Housing Units from FG

On Thursday, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq officially received the documents for 132 housing units acquired from the Federal Government, located in Ogbondoroko, Asa Local Government Area. The acquisition was part of the National Housing Programme, aimed at addressing the housing deficit in Kwara State.

The ceremony was attended by key officials, including Kunle Gbadeyan, the press secretary to the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, and Dr. Segun Ogunsola, representing the Commission for Housing and Urban Development. The housing units consist of various types, including two and three-bedroom detached and semi-detached houses.

Mr. Ahm Musa Dangiwa, the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, commended the Kwara State Government for this proactive step, which reflects a commitment to improving housing access and supporting urban growth. The Federal Government plans to commence the construction and renovation of housing estates in Kwara State soon, with contracts awarded to formalize the start of these projects.
