Kwara State Acquires 132-Unit Housing Estate

On Thursday, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq presided over the official transfer of ownership of a 132-unit federal housing estate located in Ogbondoroko, Asa Local Government Area. The estate consists of various housing types, including two and three-bedroom detached and semi-detached units.

This acquisition is part of the state administration's efforts to bridge the housing deficit and provide sustainable accommodation for residents. Dr.

Segun Ogunsola represented the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development during the handover ceremony, where he received the property documents. Architect Ahm Dangiwa and Architect Musa Abdullahi commended the state government for acquiring the housing units in the public interest.

The federal government's housing program aims to address the national housing deficit, which has become particularly acute in urban and peri-urban areas due to rapid population growth. The federal government has also announced a contract for the construction and renewal of housing estates in Kwara State, expected to commence soon.
