FG and IFAD Collaborate to Tackle Malnutrition in Nasarawa State

The Federal Government, in partnership with IFAD, is working to combat malnutrition in Nasarawa State by implementing a value chain development program. Key stakeholders in Nasarawa State expressed concerns over high malnutrition rates, especially in rural areas.

The program aims to educate farmers on proper agricultural practices to improve nutrition levels and address malnutrition issues. Various officials, including Eunic Adgidzi and Samson Jonah, highlighted the importance of promoting balanced diets and sustainable nutrition.

The initiative also involves launching a multi-sector action plan for food and nutrition to reduce child and maternal mortality rates across the state.
