FG Launches Task Team for 2026 MDA Website Ranking

On Thursday, the Federal Government inaugurated an inter-ministerial task team in Abuja to oversee the 2026 ranking of websites belonging to Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). Dasuki Arabi, the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Service Reforms, announced the initiative during the 2026 Federal Government Scorecard event.

This ranking is part of ongoing public service reforms aimed at improving service delivery and institutional accountability in Nigeria. The assessment process will be automated through a digital platform developed by GovTech Africa, which is intended to enhance the credibility and effectiveness of the evaluation.

Arabi emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity throughout the process, urging team members to apply the approved methodology consistently and objectively. He also recalled previous protests from governors and ministers regarding past rankings, highlighting the need for careful handling of the exercise.

Fortune Toma, Director of GovTech Africa, stated that their partnership with the Bureau aims to improve the consistency and efficiency of assessing MDAs' digital performance.
