Nigeria Launches Free Technical College Admissions and Textbook Reforms

The Federal Ministry of Education in Nigeria has initiated free technical college admissions and textbook reforms to improve access to quality technical and vocational education for young Nigerians. The reforms include the registration for the National Common Entrance Examination for admission into federal technical colleges, which will be open from January 26 to May 24, 2026.

Applicants are required to possess a valid National Identification Number (NIN) for registration. The reforms aim to enhance the nation's human capital development and empower youth through practical and industry-relevant skills training.
