Nigeria to Launch Job Portal for TVET Graduates to Connect with Employers

The Nigerian government, led by Minister of Education Morufu Olatunji Alausa, is set to introduce a national job market portal to link graduates of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programs with potential employers. This initiative, supported by the World Bank, seeks to address the longstanding gap between vocational training and the demands of the labor market in Nigeria.

The platform will allow for the direct recruitment of skilled workers by industries, with the goal of reducing the country's reliance on foreign technical labor and boosting domestic production. The system will focus on creating job pathways for TVET graduates and ensuring their skills align with actual industry needs.
