Nigerian Government Initiates Efforts to Stabilize Power Grid and Reduce Outages

Minister Adebayo Adelabu revealed the government's initiatives to stabilize the power grid and decrease power outages during the Nigerian Independent System Operator (NISO) management retreat in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. Efforts include policy programs, grid extensions, and the Presidential Meter Initiative to enhance power supply reliability.

The Minister emphasized the need for public-private partnerships to boost the power sector and attract investments. NISO aims to improve grid reliability and attract industries back to the grid.

The organization also collaborates with WAPP to strengthen power system operations in Nigeria.
