FG Partners with Faith-Based Groups for National Security

On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, the Minister of Interior, reiterated the Federal Government's commitment to fostering strategic partnerships with faith-based organizations to advance national security, peace, and sustainable development.

This statement was made during a courtesy visit by a delegation from the Catholic Secretariat of Nigeria, led by Reverend Dr. Matthew Hassan Kukah, at the Minister's office in Abuja.

Dr. Tunji Ojo highlighted the significant progress Nigeria has made over the past four decades and emphasized the current administration's dedication to building an inclusive government.

He noted that collaboration with religious institutions is essential for promoting peace and social cohesion. Bishop Kukah commended the administration for its responsiveness to the concerns of the Catholic Church and expressed the Church's commitment to partnering with the Federal Government to promote national security and support sound public policies that foster peace and justice.
