FG Advocates Federal-State Collaboration for Security Reforms

The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji Ojo, has called for stronger collaboration between federal and state governments to advance internal security reforms and improve border management.

This appeal was made during a courtesy visit from members of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria, led by Rt. Hon.

Emomotimi Denni Guwor, at the Ministry's headquarters in Abuja. Dr.

Tunji Ojo emphasized the importance of sustaining reforms in internal security and civic administration to achieve effective synergy between the federal government and sub-national institutions, particularly state legislatures. He commended the Conference of Speakers for their commitment to nation-building and reaffirmed the Ministry's resolve to strengthen institutional partnerships with state legislatures.

Guwor congratulated the Minister on his leadership in driving reforms and stressed the need to deepen existing relationships to promote national cohesion and enhance the country’s security architecture.
