FG Launches Digital Platform for National Education Tracking

The Federal Government of Nigeria is set to launch the Digital Nation Education Management Information System (DNEMI) platform on Wednesday. This initiative, announced by Adebayo Onigbanjo, the project coordinator at the Special Programme Office of the Ministry of Education, aims to address long-standing challenges related to fragmented and unreliable educational data.

The DNEMI platform is designed to enhance educational planning by providing accurate and timely information, which will support budget planning and service delivery monitoring. It will ensure that every learner, teacher, and school is captured in a national database, reflecting the Ministry's commitment to implementing measures for educational reform.

Mojoyin Adebajo, the Special Assistant to the Minister of Education on Digital Communication, noted that DNEMI is built on the globally recognized District Health Information Software 2 (DHIS2) platform and will digitize the annual school census process, thereby providing the government with accurate educational data for evidence-based decision-making.
