FG Steps in to Prevent NUPENG-Dangote Group Strike

The Federal Government intervened in the face-off between NUPENG and Dangote Group to prevent a nationwide strike. Minister of Labour and Employment, Mr.

Muhammad Dingyadi, urged NUPENG to reconsider the strike decision, highlighting the economic implications. The government called for a peaceful resolution, emphasizing the importance of the petroleum sector to the economy.

NLC was asked to withdraw its solidarity action directive. The dispute over unionization rights will be resolved amicably to avoid industry disruption.
