Empowering Women in Aviation: NCAA Advocates Leadership

Barrister Bukola Teriba, the Lagos Regional Manager of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), highlighted the Federal Government's policies as a significant opportunity for women to aspire to higher positions in the aviation industry. Speaking at the Women in Aviation International (WAI) 2025 award night in Lagos, Teriba affirmed that Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration has created an environment for Nigerian women to showcase their capabilities in various managerial positions across different agencies and ministries in aviation.

She encouraged women to take leadership roles in the sector and emphasized the importance of empowerment and mentorship. Former Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Engr Nnamdi Udoh, addressed the challenges women face in achieving work-life balance in the aviation profession, stressing the need for support systems that promote healthily balanced careers.

The event underscored the critical role of women in aviation and the necessity for a supportive workplace culture that values performance and purpose over overwork.
