FG Allocates N21.6bn for NAMA Headquarters in Abuja

The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved a budget of N21.6 billion for the construction of a new headquarters for the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) in Abuja. The announcement was made by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, during the groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday.

The contract, valued at N21.68 billion including tax, has been awarded to NH&D Interbiz Project Ltd, with an expected completion period of 30 months. Keyamo emphasized that this project is part of a deliberate action under Executive Order 12, aimed at modernizing infrastructure to enhance safety and efficiency in the Nigerian aviation sector.

The new headquarters will provide a conducive environment for innovation and collaboration, boosting staff morale and consolidating NAMA's administrative functions. It will integrate state-of-the-art air traffic management systems, ensuring compliance with the Public Procurement Act of 2007 and promoting transparency in the tender process.

This initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at job creation and stimulating economic activity.
