FHA Rejects Land Grabbing Claims, Promotes Reforms

The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) has dismissed allegations of land grabbing, labeling them as baseless attempts to discredit its ongoing reforms. Hon.

Oyetund Ojo, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of FHA, described the claims as spurious and ridiculed the organization behind them, which is a coalition of estate developers in the Federal Capital Territory. The FHA issued a statement on April 29, 2026, countering allegations made against it, asserting that they are unfounded and lack verification.

The FHA is currently implementing a digital system to improve property file management and expedite land development approvals, aiming to eliminate fraudulent practices. The authority has also established a grievance center to address complaints regarding slow administrative processes.

The FHA urged the public to disregard the allegations and warned that there is no safe haven for those involved in illegal land acquisition.
