FIFA to Receive External Funding by October 2026

Critics have raised concerns about the lack of consultation regarding the plan. A document sent to associations outlines the timeline for funding, which includes granting investors access to materials in August, confirming investment amounts in September, and finalizing agreements by late October.

Uefa has expressed its discontent with FIFA's approach, highlighting that associations must support the proposal to avoid losing an initial payout of $20 million from a total of $40 million. An emergency meeting is scheduled for Thursday to discuss Uefa's response to FIFA's plans.
