Filling Stations Announce Latest Petrol Prices: One Sells Cheaper Than NNPC, Dangote

Petrol prices at filling stations have decreased across the country, with some selling below the rates of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) and Dangote marketers. The latest survey revealed that a petrol retail station owned by Dangote refinery partner MRS Hyde Ardova is selling at N865 per litre, lower than the previous rate of N890 per litre.

Another station, Cecilia Filling Station, is selling at N855 per litre. The reduction in prices is attributed to changes in the prices at private depots, including Dangote refinery, which announced a drop in petrol prices.

Other depots have also adjusted their prices to remain competitive, with some matching Dangote's rate of N821 per litre. The move is expected to drive fuel prices down and ensure consistent availability, according to experts.

National president of the Petroleum Outlets Owners Association (PETROAN) Billy expressed optimism that consumers will benefit from the price reductions as stations sell off old stock.
