Filmhouse Group Completes Women's Cinematography Training

The Filmhouse Group and Care4Her Initiative successfully concluded a five-day women's cinematography training program in Lagos, designed to provide women with theoretical and practical skills in cinematography. The program focused on strengthening technical capacities and increasing access to entry-level opportunities within Nigeria's film and television landscape.

During the five-day training, participants underwent structured training covering camera operation, framing, composition, visual storytelling, lighting fundamentals, and set production etiquette. The sessions combined theory with hands-on practical exercises, simulating real production environments to bridge the gap in access to technical skills for women seeking entry into behind-the-camera roles in the creative industry.

The final day featured a panel session at Filmhouse Cinema, where the head of marketing addressed participants on talent development and the importance of continuous skill development beyond the training program.
