Omoniyi Olajumoke Christianah Transforms Ondo Filmmaking

Omoniyi Olajumoke Christianah, a filmmaker and producer, is redefining the filmmaking landscape in Ondo State through the Creative Ondo International Film Festival (COJIFF). A graduate of the Creative Academy in New York, she has identified a significant gap in opportunities for filmmakers in the region.

COJIFF aims to create a multi-dimensional creative platform that includes not only film screenings but also fashion showcases and markets for artists and entrepreneurs. Christianah emphasizes the need for government and private sector investment in the creative industry, particularly at the grassroots level, to empower young creatives and foster sustainable opportunities.

She advocates for storytelling that addresses real-life issues, especially those affecting women and young girls, using film as a tool for social change.
