FG Mandates Final-Year Thesis for NYSC Mobilization

The Nigerian government has made final-year thesis submission a compulsory requirement for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilization, effective from October 6, 2025. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu approved the new regulation to enhance academic quality, combat certificate fraud, and digitize academic work through the National Education Repository Databank (NERD).

The directive mandates students to submit their academic projects to the NERD platform, promoting knowledge preservation and discouraging substandard academic work. This move aims to improve the quality of graduates and combat academic malpractice within the NYSC system.
