Fintiri to Host 2026 PSN Colloquium in Adamawa State

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State is set to host the 2026 Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) colloquium from March 29 to April 1, 2026, at the banquet hall of the government house in Yola. This prestigious event will gather key figures from Nigeria's pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors and serve as a prelude to the centenary celebration of the pharmaceutical industry in Nigeria, which spans from 1927 to 2027.

PSN President Ayuba Tanko Ibrahim emphasized the importance of the colloquium in resetting Nigeria's healthcare system and fostering a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange and mentorship for young professionals. The colloquium will also witness the launch of a centenary trust fund aimed at strengthening the long-term development of the pharmaceutical profession in Nigeria.

Notable speakers, including renowned pharmaceutical scholar Cyril Odianos Usifoh, will address key topics, with the goal of achieving 70% local drug production by 2030. Governor Fintiri's administration has been recognized for its efforts in improving healthcare infrastructure in the state.
