Fintiri Wins APC Adamawa North Senatorial Primary Unopposed

Ahmadu Fintiri, the Governor of Adamawa State, won the Adamawa North senatorial primary unopposed on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This victory came after the incumbent senator, Amo Yohanna, declined to contest for a second term.

In the Adamawa South senatorial zone, Felix Tangwami emerged victorious, defeating former senator Grace Bent. The APC spokesman for the state, Victor Dogo, announced a suspension of the Adamawa Central senatorial primary due to the late arrival of electoral materials, stating that it was not proper to conduct the election under those circumstances.

The date for rescheduling the primary in the Adamawa Central zone will be announced soon. Alhaji Aliyu Abbati, an aspirant in the Adamawa Central zone, expressed that the decision was in the best interest of the party.

Additionally, Peter Fwa, an APC senatorial aspirant from the southern zone, withdrew from the contest, citing allegations of imposed candidacy ahead of the primary.
