Fintiri and Kwacham Battle for Adamawa Senate Seat

The political landscape in Adamawa is heating up as Governor Ahmad Fintiri and Kwacham clash over the senatorial seat for Adamawa North. A rally in Mubi on Thursday, organized by supporters of Kwacham, highlighted his contributions to local development and employment opportunities.

Abubakar Inuwa, a former deputy controller of immigration, emphasized the community's desire for Kwacham to lead, believing his leadership style will ensure fair resource distribution. The rally also sought the royal blessing of Emir Mubi, Alhaji Abubakar Isah Ahmadu.

In contrast, Fintiri's supporters, including local political leaders, argue that he is the natural successor for the district's legislative seat. They believe his candidacy will prioritize Adamawa North in national development.

The situation is expected to be settled during the party's primary elections, with both candidates having significant backing from various community groups. Fintiri has not yet formally declared his candidacy but has been active in campaigning.
