Fire Tragedy in Yobe Claims Lives of Four Family Members

A tragic fire outbreak occurred at approximately 5pm on Friday in the Rugar Audu Badali settlement, located in the Karasuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State, resulting in the deaths of Bilkisu, the wife of Mallam Bukar, and her three children, Zainab, Hafsat, and Salamatu. Following the incident, the deceased were buried in accordance with Islamic rites, while the surviving family members were left homeless as the fire destroyed their residence and belongings.

The Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) conducted an assessment and condolence visit to the affected community in collaboration with representatives from the Karasuwa Local Government Authority and community stakeholders. During this visit, SEMA confirmed the urgent need for emergency relief support, temporary shelter, and psychosocial assistance for the displaced survivors.

The agency expressed condolences to Mallam Bukar and the community, emphasizing its commitment to coordinate humanitarian interventions and mobilize resources to alleviate the suffering of those affected by the disaster.
