Shettima Leads Federal Delegation to Kano Fire Victims

Vice President Kashim Shettima is set to lead a high-powered federal government delegation to Kano to express sympathy and support for victims of a recent fire disaster at the singer market. The delegation is scheduled to depart from Abuja on Monday and will convey President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's condolences to traders who lost billions of naira in the fire that occurred over the weekend.

This incident marks the second fire outbreak at the market in just two weeks, causing extensive damage and leaving traders in despair. The delegation will pledge financial assistance on behalf of the government to aid victims and support the Kano state government in facilitating the quick reopening of the market.

Members of the delegation include Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abba, Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Senator Kawu Ismaila, Representative Abubakar Kabir Bichi, Chairman of the House of Representatives Appropriations Committee, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Dr. Bernard M.
