Fire Destroys 100 Thatched Houses in Borno IDP Camp, No Casualties Reported

A fire incident at the Water Board IDP Camp in Monguno, Borno State, destroyed more than 100 thatched houses, according to the State Police Command. The fire broke out around 4:30 pm on Friday, engulfing houses and destroying food items and household belongings.

Thankfully, there were no casualties or injuries reported, and authorities successfully brought the flames under control. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.

This incident follows a recent fire that razed 76 temporary shelters in Ngamma Village, Yobe State, leaving families homeless.
