Fire Destroys Three Buildings in Kano Community

On Tuesday, around 11:05 AM, a fire outbreak occurred in the Gaida area near Fatima Bread in Kumbotso Local Government Area, Kano State, destroying three residential buildings. The Kano State Fire Service, led by Saminu Abdullahi, received a distress call and promptly deployed personnel from the Sharada Rijiyar Zaki fire station to the scene.

Upon arrival, they found an open area measuring 50 by 50 feet engulfed in flames, which had spread from an electrical transformer to nearby structures. The first building, a ground floor structure measuring 30 by 25 feet, was completely affected, while the second building, a storey structure measuring 30 by 30 feet, suffered damage to its upper floor.

The third building, also a ground floor structure measuring 30 by 30 feet, consisting of two rooms and a toilet, was razed. The fire was identified as being caused by an electrical spark.

Sani Ana, the director of the fire service, urged residents to take preventive measures against fire outbreaks.
