Fire Outbreak at Lagos Airport Terminal 1 Confirmed

A fire outbreak was confirmed at Terminal 1 of Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN). Chinedu Ez reported that emergency response operations are ongoing, with firefighting teams actively working to fully contain the fire.

The airport personnel and passengers were evacuated in an orderly manner, and efforts are being strengthened to manage the situation effectively. FAAN has activated mutual aid arrangements and called for reinforcements from Lagos State government, Julius Berger Nigeria PLC, and China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency is also involved in the response. FAAN reassured the public that there have been no recorded losses of life and that necessary measures are being taken to safeguard lives and property.
